译文：In the past the three outstanding figures of the Han Dynasty had gatherings here. After the establishment of the Han Dynasty they often sincerely advised Liu Bang and discussed the alternation of prosperity and decline throughout the dynasties. Over a thousand years have passed and now seeing the remnants of their past memories surge in my heart causing infinite sadness. The changes of the world continue while the mountains and rivers here still evoke their heroic spirit. When the birds have flown the bow is put away it is truly lamentable! Standing at the highest point of the ruins of the Weiyang Palace sitting on the ground and observing: to the east there are picturesque mountains and rivers; to the west there are also picturesque mountains and rivers. However who can guarantee that these magnificent mountains and rivers will always remain?
注释：
未央：The name of a palace in the Han Dynasty. Its ruins are located in present-day Xi'an Shaanxi.
三杰：Refers to Zhang Liang Xiao He and Han Xin of the Han Dynasty who helped Liu Bang unify China.
纳谏：In ancient times it refers to the emperor accepting the advice of his ministers.
遗基：Refers to the remaining ruins of the Weiyang Palace.
闲坐地：Sitting leisurely.
