潇水奔腾出九疑，临源湘水逶迤行。
The Xiaoshui rushes out from the Nine Doubts the Linyuan Xiang River meanders.
二水会合空旷处，水清流缓波涛平。
The two rivers converge in an open space the water is clear and flows slowly the waves are calm.
江岸高馆耸云霄，更有危楼倚山隈。
The high buildings on the river bank tower into the clouds there are also dangerous towers leaning against the mountains.
雨后初晴天色朗，纤云舒卷碧空尽。
After the rain the sky clears up and the weather is bright thin clouds unfurl and disappear in the blue sky.
秋高气爽日正中，江天一色无纤尘。
The autumn is high and refreshing the sun is right in the middle the river and sky are one color without any dust.
才闻渔父低声唱，忽听羁鸿哀声鸣。
Just heard the fisherman singing softly suddenly heard the mournful cry of the captive wild goose.
见此胜景岂不乐？难以自制思绪分。
Seeing such a beautiful scenery how can one not be happy? It's hard to control one's thoughts.
登高欲遣杂念去，更招思念故乡情。
Climbing high to get rid of distracting thoughts but it brings about more longing for hometown.
无心游玩驾舟返，小舟徘徊人迟疑。
Unintentionally unwilling to play and enjoy the boat hesitates and lingers.
注释：
浚：此处指水深。
Jùn: Here it refers to the depth of the water.
临源：山名，《百家注柳集》云：“九疑、临源潇湘所出。”
Línyuán: The name of a mountain. Baijia Zhu Liují says Jiuyi and Linyuan are the origins of the Xiaoxiang River.
泓澄：水清而广。停风雷：谓波平涛息，水流转缓。
Hóngchéng: The water is clear and wide. Tíngfēngléi: It means that the waves are calm and the water flows slowly.
轩霞表：高耸于云霄之外。轩，飞貌。
Xuānxiábiǎo: It means to tower high above the clouds. Xuān means flying appearance.
澄霁：天色清朗。
Chéngjì: It means that the sky is clear and bright.
杳杳：远貌。
Yǎoyǎo: It means a distant appearance.
豫：欢乐。
Yù: It means joy.
裁：自制。
Cái: It means self-control.
远念：对远方故乡的思念。
Yuǎnniàn: Longing for the hometown in a distant place.
驶：快速行进。
Shǐ: It means to travel quickly.
沿洄：顺流而下曰沿，逆水而上曰洄。
Yánhuí: Going downstream is called yán going against the current is called huí.
