译文：The sky at dusk is vast and long and the autumn river is so vast. The setting sun falls on the mountainside casting a lonely shadow of the wild geese in the sunset. A fragrant song flows between the pink lips and teeth and I still remember the past on the boat back then. At that time tears fell from my eyes in the autumn wind wetting my clothes. We separated the golden hairpin as a memento and the conch cup was filled with wine. However we were separated like a pair of mandarin ducks.
注释：普天乐：曲牌名，四十六字。- Pǔtiān lè: the name of a tune consisting of forty-six characters.
晚：傍晚。长：指秋江水长。- Wǎn: evening. Cháng: refers to the length of the autumn river.
璧月词：艳歌。南朝陈后主曾为张贵妃、孔贵嫔作歌，有“璧月夜夜满，琼树朝朝新”之句。- Bì yuè cí: a passionate song. During the Southern Chen Dynasty the last emperor composed a song for Zhang Guifei and Kong Guifei which included the line The jade-like moon is full every night and the jade tree is new every morning.
鹦鹉：指用鹦鹉螺（一种海螺）螺壳制作的酒杯。- Yīngwǔ: refers to a wine cup made from the shell of a conch (a type of seashell).
