译文：
剑外忽然传来收蓟北的消息，刚刚听到时涕泪满衣裳。
Suddenly news from the north of Jizhou reached outside the Jianmen Pass. When I just heard it tears filled my clothes.
回头看妻子和孩子哪还有一点的忧伤，胡乱地卷起诗书欣喜若狂。
Turning back to look at my wife and children there was no trace of sadness. I hastily rolled up my books and poems filled with joy.
日头照耀放声高歌痛饮美酒，趁着明媚春光与妻儿一同返回家乡。
The sun shines brightly singing loudly and drinking fine wine. Taking advantage of the beautiful spring scenery I return to my hometown with my wife and children.
心想着就从巴峡穿过巫峡，经过了襄阳后又直奔洛阳。
In my heart I plan to pass through the Ba Gorge and the Wuxia Gorge and after passing through Xiangyang head straight to Luoyang.
注释：
闻：hear about. 官军：refers to the Tang Dynasty army.
剑外：south of Jianmen Pass here refers to Sichuan.
蓟北：refers to the area of Youzhou and Jizhou in the Tang Dynasty now the northern part of Hebei Province which was the base of the An Lushan Rebellion.
涕：tears.
却看：turn back and look.
妻子：wife and children.
愁何在：where is the worry? There is no trace of worry.
漫卷(juǎn)诗书喜欲狂：hastily roll up. It means that Du Fu is eager to pack up and prepare to return to his hometown.
喜欲狂：extremely happy.
放歌：sing loudly.
须：should.
纵酒：drink heartily.
青春：refers to the beautiful scenery of spring.
作伴：accompany with wife and children.
巫峡：one of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River named after passing through the Wushan Mountain.

襄阳：now belongs to Hubei Province.
洛阳：now belongs to Henan Province an ancient city.
