Since childhood he sincerely hopes to dedicate himself to the country's peril never caring about high positions and wealth.
置身于万里之外乡情化为梦境，眼望那边地明月激起阵阵怀恋。
Being thousands of miles away the nostalgia for his hometown turns into a dream and gazing at the bright moon on the other side stirs up deep longing.
祝愿亲爱的战友早早扫清顽敌，边庭无事早归来切莫再经秋天！
Wishing dear comrades to eliminate the stubborn enemies early and return safely from the border without experiencing another autumn!

The scenery of your hometown thousands of miles away will appear in your dreams and the moonlight on the border often evokes your feelings of separation and sorrow.
你此去应该早日消灭那些胡族侵略者，不要优柔寡断将战事一拖经年。
You should eliminate the invading Hu tribes as soon as possible and not hesitate or delay the war for years.
注释：
安西：即安西都护府，治所在今新疆吐鲁番东南达克阿奴斯。
Anxi: Refers to the Anxi Protectorate with its capital located in Dakhanus in the southeast of Turpan Xinjiang.
胡钩：一种似剑而曲的兵器，一作“吴钩”。
Hu hook: A weapon resembling a curved sword also known as Wu hook.
翩翩：形容轻捷地驰骋。
Gracefully: Describes galloping lightly and swiftly.
陇（lǒng）头：指陕西箥陇县西北。陇北地区是古代通往西域的要道。
Long (lǒng) head: Refers to the northwest of Bolong County in Shaanxi Province. The Longbei region was an important passage to the Western Regions in ancient times.
三边：幽、并、凉三州为汉时边郡，这里泛指边陲地区。
Sanbian: Refers to the border areas including Youzhou Bingzhou and Liangzhou which were border prefectures during the Han Dynasty.
黠虏（xiá lǔ）：狡猾的敌人。虏，古时西北少数民族的泛称。
