译文：
身居异域在那阴山西面，
Living in a foreign land west of the Yin Mountains
轮台孤战位于雷海旁边。
The lonely battle of Luntai is beside the Thunder Sea.
秋季已到只见行行飞雁，
Autumn has arrived only seeing rows of flying geese
夏日刚过不闻声声鸣蝉。
Just after summer no sound of chirping cicadas.
秋酉时时打得毡墙潮湿，
The autumn rain constantly wets the felt walls
秋风阵阵吹过帐幕腥腔。
The autumn wind blows through the tent smelling of livestock.
轮台之地距离家乡万里，
The land of Luntai is thousands of miles away from my hometown
边地元串已经过去三年！
It has been three years since I left the borderland.
注释：
首秋：初秋之意，为阴历七月。
Shouqiu: Refers to early autumn which is the seventh month of the lunar calendar.
轮台：为北庭州属下辖一县，今新疆乌鲁木齐附近，具体位置至今未得确定。
Luntai: It is a county under the jurisdiction of Beiting Prefecture near Urumqi Xinjiang. The exact location has not been determined to this day.
阴山：今乌鲁木齐以东之天山东段山脉。
Yin Mountains: The eastern section of the Tianshan Mountains east of Urumqi.
雪海：浩瀚之沙漠雪原，为当时轮台北面之沙海。
Snow Sea: Vast desert snowfield the sand sea north of Luntai at that time.
毡墙：毡帐之围墙。
Felt walls: The walls surrounding the felt tent.
毳幕：毡帐。毳cuì，鸟兽的细毛。
Felt tent: A tent made of felt. Cuì refers to the fine hair of birds and animals.
羶shān，羊等牲畜的腥臊气。
Shan: The smell of sheep and other livestock.
