Translation:
The peach blossoms still bloom with smiles and the swallows continue to dance gracefully. It has been many years since I last saw this spring scenery. Those who have returned to serve in the new dynasty their past experiences are no longer worth mentioning. Under the setting sun near the water the treasured sword transforms into a dragon and returns unfulfilled ambitions and traces disappear. In this great change how many heroes shed tears and blood. The country remains the same but the cause remains unaccomplished. There is no way to repay the country only leaving behind eternal regrets. Let go of all the prosperity and passion.
The once famous Golden Terrace and White Jade Tower can only hold onto the moon every night and appear particularly desolate. The willow branches like golden threads were goose yellow and tender green in spring but now they are withered and broken. The beautiful peach blossoms and plum blossoms have all disappeared. The impermanence of the world is like the ever-changing clouds in the sky and life is like the floating willow catkins carried by the wind. All the rise and fall are left to the grieving monkeys who have lost their partners! The Western Hills outside Beijing are still there but the scenery of the Western Hills has lost its former brilliance and appears dim and lifeless. It seems to mourn and grieve for the country's destruction and downfall just like me!
